چکیده
Ground-penetration radar (GPR) is a geophysical tool widely applied in archaeological and forensic research, such as identifying the exact position of graves. A detailed GPR survey was conducted on cemeteries Permatang Pasir Titi Teras, Penang Island. Moving 500MHz antenna along parallel transects inside grids used to collect data. The study’s aim present two case studies with varying soil types burial ages. Analysis reflection shape, strength signal polarity helped interpretation anomalies. results varied depending type; sandy field, investigations were clearer less complicated than clayey sand field. When conditions are ideal (low conductivity areas little vegetation), provides highly informative precise results. Time-slices representations method provide details about subsurface at certain depth.

Long-term Geophysical Monitoring of Simulated Clandestine Graves using Electrical and Ground Penetrating Radar Methods: 4-6 Years After Burial.
This ongoing monitoring study provides forensic search teams with systematic geophysical data over simulated clandestine graves for comparison to active cases. Simulated "wrapped," "naked," and "control" burials were created. Multiple geophysical surveys were collected over 6 years, here showing data from 4 to 6 years after burial. Electrical resistivity (twin electrode and ERI), multifrequency...

This paper describes modern, non-invasive data acquisition methods of underground utility detection. Basic parameters, methods and their influence on the acquisition speed and data quality are defined. This data can be used for development of complex Geographic Information Systems. The aim of this paper is to show data extraction from the hyperbolic reflection on the radargram. These data are u...
متن کاملGround-Penetrating Radar Techniques to Discover and Map Historic Graves
Ground-penetrating radar is a geophysical technique that can be used to identify and map features commonly associated with historic graves, including intact or partially collapsed coffi ns and vertical shafts. Data are collected by moving radar antennas that transmit pulses of energy into the ground along parallel transects within grids, recording refl ections of those pulses from signifi cant ...

A total of 33 isolates of Fusarium sp. were isolated from soil samples collected from a mangrove forest in an area in Kampung Pantai Acheh, Balik Pulau, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. The isolates were isolated using soil dilution, direct isolation and debris isolation techniques. The debris isolation technique yielded the most isolates, with a total of 22 Fusarium isolates. Based on identification us...
